Thank you for the advice. I removed all unnecessary addons and rerun deploywebstart without any option but get the same result. Opening a new file using the xxe-menu file>new works. But not the command. Are you sure that it is the class loader?

It seems to be caused by the class loader of Java Web Start, which is more buggy than the class loader of desktop applications.
