(Sorry if my answer is a bit confusing. This is because the status of Java applications like XMLmind XML Editor on the Mac is nowadays somewhat confusing.)

I'm a user of your XML editor. I use XML editor version 5.8.0. After

XMLmind XML Editor works fine on Mac OS X Mavericks. And we have already seen it run on a Retina screen. (We don't own a Mac having a Retina screen.) It indeed looks more blurry than native Mac OS X applications. However, what we saw was *not* catastrophic.

Note that the XMLmind XML Editor we saw on a Retina screen was installed using the .dmg distribution. This means that the Apple Java 1.6 runtime was automatically used. Oracle Java 1.7 runtime is more ``blurry'' than Apple Java 1.6 runtime, and this, even on a normal, non-Retina, screens.

I didn't find a solution to this problem on your website.
Could you please provide a solution for this issue?

I'm sorry but there is currently no real solution to that problem.

We have added a workaround to XMLmind XML Editor v5.8.1 (to be released in the next few days). We cannot test this workaround as we don't have a Mac with a Retina screen. May be this will improve the situation a little bit.

Note that this workaround will work if and only if you install the .dmg distribution and hence, accept to install and use the Apple Java 1.6 runtime.
