You (and others) may also be interested in the article I wrote about
signing XML in PHP - at http://web.mac.com/john.kemp/php-xml-sig.html
(my first attempt at authoring web pages with Apple's iWeb). I used
SWIG, and created a couple of wrapper functions for the xmlsec
library functions itself, just to prove that it wasn't so hard to do
XML signatures and encryption if using the excellent xmlsec library ;)

It class use the xmlsec1 utility for Linux. For Windows I have some
contingencies as error analize and output and it class have some
limitation.
