This would certainly be possible, though maybe not necessary.  Are you
thinking about schemaLocation/noNamespaceSchemaLocation only or abou
type/nil as well?
Actually, schemaLocation/NoNamespaceSchemaLocation are the only ones I would think need to be set as configurable.
