Summary: Blank screen with Radeon 9600 / RV350 Product: xorg Version: 7.3 Platform: x86 (IA32) OS/Version: Linux (All) Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: medium Component: Driver/Radeon AssignedTo: xorg-driver-ati@lists.x.org ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] QAContact: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Created an attachment (id=16674) --> (http://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=16674) My xorg.conf I have an ATI Radeon 9600 ("RV350 AP" chip, apparently) on a machine running Fedora 9. With a basic X.org configuration, the X server starts up successfully but I only get a blank screen. With the proprietary driver, I get normal output. (Well, I have historically; currently fglrx and F9 don't play well together.) This may be related to my monitor: a Dell 3007WFP with maximum resolution of 2560x1600. If I start X using the vesa driver, I also get either a blank screen or mangled output, where the GDM greeter is sheared horizontally really badly. (Whether I see something or nothing varies as I hit Ctrl-Alt-+ in vesa mode.) I'll attach my xorg.conf and a log from starting up the server. I'd really rather not have to use the proprietary driver, so I'm happy to help debug however possible. I'm a longtime Linux user and programmer so I'm comfortable doing tricky stuff to my system. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ xorg-driver-ati mailing list xorg-driver-ati@lists.x.org http://lists.x.org/mailman/listinfo/xorg-driver-ati
