Please attach the Xorg log and the output of dmesg and xrandr corresponding to
the problem.
Assuming you aren't already, using the amdgpu driver from the amd-staging-4.9
branch of https://cgit.freedesktop.org/~agd5f/linux/ with CONFIG_DRM_AMD_DC
enabled might help.
