In section 10, XvMC is mentioned, but this could apply to Xv as well. FWIW I think it makes a lot of sense to do that, mostly for performance reasons (YUV data is usually 12 bit per pixel, if we add a RGBA 32 bit per pixel copy on top of that it's definitely not negligible).
