I'd rather have users pester application authors/ISVs so they move to the current millenium rather than having them hammer xorg and distro lists to make core fonts work perfectly (which was never the case and is unlikely to ever happen at this stage). A lot of old *nix users have totally missed the fact fontconfig happened, and need some education.
