Actually, I eclipsed this issue because the old and new platforms produce the 
same kind of message when X start (failing to set up write-combining range).

But thanks to your message I reconsider the problem, and it seems you were 
right. After a few test (because modify the /proc/mtrr cause the system to be 
unstable), my graphics run on the new mainboard as fast as on the old one.

Now I have to understand why my /proc/mtrr seems incoherent.

Reg00: base=0x80000000 (2048MB), size=2048MB uncacheable, count=1

And of course my graphic card needs to address in this range of memory!!

Maybe the bios is guilty??

I'm guessing its most likely MTRR setup not working, the new
motherboard already has MTRRs probably and doesn't cover the range you
want. have a look in /proc/mtrr and dmesg on both boards.
