Check the output of "lsmod" for modules that can claim that device. 
It's probably either "nvidia" or "nouveau".  I think you can find out for sure 
by running

   readlink "/sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:02:00.0/driver"

Unload the conflicting driver and try again.
