I'm not sure if it's relevant, but I have
/usr/include/python2.6/Python.h
on my system, but it is apparently not detected / relevant.

I should add -- In the screen shot, you see a dot next to line 1 and
line 3. However when I open the file, I don't see those dots anymore.

I'll happily send you output with input debugging enabled; but right now
it doesn't compile ;(.
Another related thing might be that I have
xinput --set-prop "PS/2 Generic Mouse" "Evdev Middle Button Emulation" 1
in ~/.xinitrc. Once I get Xournal++ to compile, I'll try it without this
and see if it makes any difference.

No rotation. I'm not sure what's up here. I'm attaching a list of all
the packages on my system, and package versions. I use Debian/testing.
