Hi,

from some CAD software I know an even easier method to perserve the
aspect ratio.
Using the upper and lower left corners will keep the aspect ratio,
using the upper and lower right corner allows free rescaling. However,
the automagic function would be even better. One could draw a help
line -45deg to indicate the user that , as long as he follows that
line, the aspect ratio will be preserved.

However, this creates another question for me. Will xournal be more
pen or more keyboard focused in the future?
Basically, I like to use keyboard shortcuts. Unfortunately, my X
convertible makes this rather tricky in tablet mode. I already thought
about building a single line of keys as a special USB keyboard for
presentations, which could easily sit on top of the display brezel.
On the other side maybe some of you know the project open-sankore, an
electronic whiteboard software.
It seems nice, but turns out rather buggy for me. The design principle
is very much pen-focused, all operations can be called by simple pen
clicks. Often this will open up a graphical pictogram-based context
menu which enables to change certain parameters. It requires a lot of
space on the screen and I am not yet sure wheter I like it or not ;)

Would be great to hear about your opinons.
