i tried to install suse 7.2 with xfree 4.x on a friend's machine with an elsa erazor 3 and an old hiscreen monitor (LE4something, five years or older). when i tried to open the x server, the picture was very messed up, like looking at one of those screens for 3D-LCD glasses without the glasses, and wrapped around all corners, and small, and only half of the desktop appeared, and so on. it was a mess.
i tried different servers ( nvidia, SVGA, VGA, inter/noninterleaved), so it appears it is not a problem with the graphics card. the 3.x server worked great, so i thought there is some problem with the 4.x series regarding this issue. any ideas? stefan __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
