If my guess is correct with regard to what "tearing" might be, I see tearing when viewing DVDs with the latest ogle release. I'm using the latest CVS release on my Toshiba Satellite 1805-S204. It has the Trident CyberBlade Ai1 chipset. Is the apparent tearing an issue with the driver in the CVS release or possibly the software? Although this isn't in response to the SiS630 driver, I thought it was a relevant question.
