Hi again,

No I haven't tried the leave X option in apmd.conf though I don't seem to have an 
apmd.conf 
on my machine.  Is it linux specific?  NetBSD's apmd documentation doesn't seem to make
any reference to an apmd.conf.  I realize I hadn't noted my o/s before perhaps this 
caused
confusion.
