Hi,

After upgrading from AMD 1.1 Ghz to AMD Athlon 2000+ (1.67 Ghz) my
monitor had horizontal sync problem.
There are horizontal distorted lines flashing over the screen.
I found a workaroud for this problem by setting the FSB speed on the
mother board to 100Mhz in stead of 133Mhz.
The downside of this solution is that my processor now runs on only 1250
Mhz (clock multiplier 12.5 x FSB speed)
Does anybody know how I can get rid of the horizontal sync problem while
keeping the FSB speed on 133 Mhz ?
I use:
- Xfree86 V4.2.1
- SuSE Linux 8.0 (Linux 2.4.18)
- Dell 1500FP flat panel monitor
- AM75-EC motherboard with VIA KM133 chipset
- Onboard display controller S3 Savage4 2D/3D
