Aaaah... I didn't realise it was this problem. Tom, if you don't want to build DRI from CVS, you can grab the radeon resume driver tarball from my pages at cpbotha.net/dri_resume.html and use the libxaa.a from there with a driver tarball from dri.sf.net.
