It's not moving towards "unsupported". It's still on my supported list. Anyway, sorry for not immediately replying, but I had other things going on last week that took precedence over XFree86. The R128 driver has been quite stable for some time now, but a problem with the XV support and high resolution vid modes has been found recently, and I'm awaiting a patch from the person who found the problem and says he's fixed it.
