XQuartz-2.6.3_rc2 is designed for Snow Leopard.

I would advise you to use the X11.app that is present in Lion and to report 
bugs about any issues you face with that version to bugreporter.apple.com.

After Lion is released, I will update the wiki detailing what is in that 
release like I have for Leopard and Snow Leopard releases 
(http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/Releases).
