In regards to proping Elan or Gazelle stands: You prop them up with whatever works best for you. My frame, when it is in the stand, goes over the arm of the glider I sit in. I sometimes put a pillow on the arm of the glider and lean the frame on that so it won't sag in the frame. I've heard of some sitting a chair in the right place, and such.
