im Gegenteil! Not a bit! This will actually make it easier to port stacks.
The way we had worked out the interface, it was a function not unlike like
the following:
path to preferences folder
where "preferences" is but one of the possible constants. This function
would then return a search path to the closest folder matching this concept
on the current platform. Some paths just wouldn't work on certain
platforms, but there would be some standardized calls which would make
checking the platform and then trying to generate an appropriate path by
hand obsolete.
