xTalk: Show / Hide chunk of a field

Would'nt it be something?

So you would be able to show collapsed list, expend them and ....

show line 3 to 10 of field id xx
hide line 2 of field id xx

show all lines of field id xx


hide char 18 to 23 of field id xx
show word 23 of field id xx

It could also be working  on variable. Well something deep must be done to
get to that point. But this would be HC-like giving with a simple command a
lot of new power.

have any idea about such a feature?
