Actually, the hard drive failed sometime last Tuesday. Complicating the
matter was the fact that the engineer who wrote the list server no longer
works there.

The HyperCard list has moved to eGroups. As the technical moderator, I
had a fairly current (9/4) subscriber list and have submitted it to
eGroups for their large group (500+) enrollment procedure. They advertise
a 24 hour turn-around, but that didn't happen. Meantime, the list is up &
running and folks can subscribe by sending e-mail to

  [EMAIL PROTECTED]

(subject and content irrelevant).

So far, eGroups looks pretty good, despite the slow turn-around (I wonder
how many new lists they got last week). They probably even back up their
hard drives!
