I'm not opposed to introducing this in DVC, but I strongly prefer an automatic hook which sends the mail to a given address (and therefore, independant of DVC). The manual step for sending the mail is IMHO unnecessary. (indeed, we already had this discussion. The main reason why Xtla supports mail notification via Gnus is that Stefan's machine is only configured to send mails using Gnus ;-). -- Matthieu
