Let's outline some necessary steps:

1) Squeeze needs to be packaged for Xubuntu Gutsy/universe[0];
2) Squeeze needs to mature given its - by your words - "alpha" state;
3) Squeeze needs an M.I.R.[1]

All three of these steps are manageable with community elbow grease.

I installed Squeeze using GetDeb's package [1] and it feels allright. At
least it's not so annoying as Xarchiver when it comes to extension names...
