Unfortunately HacBurn also has a problem in common with Xfburn: no support for DVDs. DVDs are now extremely common media, and including a optical disc utility that doesn't support DVD at all would be bad, IMHO.
I also came upon this link: http://www.nabble.com/Is-this-an-active-project--t3171932.html It seems that GnomeBaker development is definitely at a standstill, unfortunately. There's a project called GnomeBakerNg which is supposed to continue development (http://libburnia.pykix.org/wiki/GnomebakerNg), but it doesn't seem to have actually had any work done on it. This effectively means that Brasero is the only GTK/GNOME burning utility that's being actively maintained, and it's loaded with GNOME dependencies (although GnomeBaker is, as well). At this point it seems like all I can hope for is that either Graveman development starts back up, or Xfburn makes dramatic progress in the near-future. I've even been looking at NeroLinux 3 (blasphemy, I know), which has gotten some good reviews. I don't mean to turn the CD/DVD burner issue into a personal piss and moan session.
