I've had the same experience in the past when downloading by selecting the ISO directly. If you haven't yet, I would suggest downloading with `zsync`:
zsync http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/daily-live/current/trusty-desktop-amd64.iso.zsync zsync http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/daily-live/current/trusty-desktop-i386.iso.zsync This is quite reliable in my experience.
