As we progressively approach the end phase of the Vivid cycle [1] we need an extra effort of help from our community in translation the Xubuntu end-user documentation in order to provide the opportunity of a enjoyable Xubuntu experience to a wider specter range in their native language.
Presently the end-user documentation is translatable in Launchpad [2] and the default cut-off percentage to include translations is 80%, and that's the reason why we're only shipping three idioms, namely Finnish, Portuguese and Spanish. Even though our goal is to have all the idioms translated, the French (64.01%), German (65.52%), and Russian (57.77%) translations are realistic candidates to be included in the next release if some more work could be done on them. If you've never contributed a translation before and your native language is not English but you have really good English skills and are comfortable using software in English, you can make a huge contribution by helping to translate the Xubuntu end-user documentation into your native language. Before you start translating, we recommend joining the Ubuntu-translators mailing list [3] to keep up with notifications about important translation template updates and to stay in touch with other Ubuntu translators.
