Hi,

I am Ernestas Naprys, a journalist at Cybernews.com.

Some users report that Xubuntu's website was compromised and abused to
disseminate malware.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubuntu/comments/1oa4549/xubuntuorg_might_be_compromised/
https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=45634367

I'd like to as to ask for a comment on what happened.

Could you acknowledge whether the website was compromised, and, if so,
provide any details?

Is it limited to a website? Did the attackers accessed any other
environments, repositories/data?

Do you know how the attackers gained access? Can you attribute it to any
specific threat actor?

Is the incident contained? Is there anything users should be aware of?

Thank you for any helpful information

Best regards
