We've been experimenting with language support on Xubuntu 24.04.1.
Recently, I changed the language to Scottish/Gaelic. When changing the
language it prompted me if I wanted to port the directories to the
Scottish/Gaelic version, I said yes.

I then switched back to English (US) and removed Scottish/Gaelic as a
supported language, the created directories stayed. I understand this
as there may be data in the directories. I logged out, and logged back
in. I checked the language, English (US) is the default language, and
Scottish/Gaelic has been removed from the system.

If I download anything, however, it gets downloaded to the
Luchdaidhean a-nuas (Gaelic Downloads) directory, not Downloads, as I
expected it to. It seems removing the language does not remove and
switch the set directories.

I checked Language support and don't see a simple way to switch those
directories back to the English (US) equivalents.

Regards,

Charles
