Your Firefox and Thunderbolt preferences are stored in your home
directory under .mozilla and .thunderbolt
See https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2026/01/firefox-147-released for firefox
about recent changes with a new installation of Firefox 147.
The location of these files under the snap installation is:
~/snap/firefox/common/.mozilla
~/snap/thunderbird/common/.thunderbird
-Victor
Yes, I know, for thunderBIRD, no problems, but for firefox I see the
version is 140.7 (esr) and 147.0.1(snap) and the old version does not
want to load the prefs map of the newer one, even not with the setting
MOZ_ALLOW_DOWNGRADE=1 firefox -P
or
MOZ_ALLOW_DOWNGRADE=1
in *ini files
If I would have the passwords, the visited sites, bookmarks nd open tabs
(for me about 20+), that would be great again.
I will look at mint, if these things persist, as the snap method make me
think of a system that will install all libs multiple times, will
overwrite some config files for one app, and make the system unhappy.
