This year I think a number of the small opensolaris sub communities could really benefit from making a gsoc projects. I've been coming up with some ideas and need feedback/details.
Maybe someone can tell me if the DRM interface between OpenSolaris and BSD is similar? My first idea is porting DRM bits to OpenSolaris for nouveau. If the interfaces are relatively similar it would accomplish two things at once. Someone correct me if I'm mistaken, but could this also possibly help with the closed nvidia driver situation on sparc? Anyone have any other ideas/suggestions for projects? Now is the time to speak up because we still have time to plan/organize and possibly recruit a student. :) Thanks ./Christopher
