On systems using IPS you need to use "pkg verify" instead of pkgchk.
(In general with IPS, all package commands are subcommands of pkg,
 and the old pkg* commands like pkginfo, pkgchk, etc. are only for
 any additional old SVR4 packages you installed.)

I don't remember any problems with Xvnc in nv_98 off the top of my
head - what problems are you seeing?
