Alan Coopersmith wrote: TBD. It's on the X team's list of things to update, but that is a very very very long list at the moment, and since few people have had anything that needs 7.0.2 instead of 6.5.2 or the nvidia version of OpenGL, it's not been our top priority (or at least few people have told us if they do - the only thing I've been asked for from 7.0.2 is the updated Intel driver support). -------> Alan, Ref: http://www.blastwave.org/packages.php/mesalibs Would it break your builds of Xorg 7.2 or the video device drivers if Mesa 7.0.2 was added?!? The game, DangerDeep, and Demoniak3D are a few applications that benefit from Mesa 7.0.2. I worked on porting Blender (now v2.46) for Blastwave.org when we updated to Mesa 7.0.x for game development and porting projects (way before the Nvidia drivers were officially supported on Solaris). This is just something that benefits both OpenSolaris desktop and gaming developers wanting to explore GLSL 1.20.x programming on Solaris - yet not having Nvidia GPUs in their laptops or workstations. I mentioned this about two years ago on getting OpenGL 2.1 API compliant support on OpenSolaris/Solaris 10 and submitted an RFE as well. Wouldn't Mesa 7.0.2/7.1 benefit Xorg video device driver 3D development and testing?!? ~ Ken Mays ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
