I just ported opensourced DRI driver from BSD to solaris. The driver supports x850 at most. Even I put the vender ID and device ID into source code, most likely, your system will get a panic. At least, Xorg won't work.
I am reading the r5xx/6xx doc which AMD/ATI opens days ago. But I am not sure if the doc provides info enough to write a driver for the hardware. Additionally, I guess that we need macrocode for r5xx/6xx GPU. -minskey ? 2008-2-28???6:52?
