I am sponsoring this case for myself and closing it as approved automatic
as it simply tracks the community addition of a new video driver API and
support for new versions of the RandR & Damage extensions to the Xorg server.

This case requests a Micro/Patch binding.

4. Technical Description

This case updates the Xorg server (and the associated X servers based on
its source base - Xephyr and /usr/X11/bin/Xvfb) from version 1.2 (which
was included in the X11R7.2 release, covered in PSARC 2007/051) to
version 1.3 (which is a standalone release, between X11R7.2 and X11R7.3).

It provides the server side of the support for the Damage 1.1 and RandR 1.2
updates covered in LSARC 2007/421 and PSARC 2007/430.

It also adds a new function xf86XVFillKeyHelperDrawable to the Video
Driver ABI exported to driver modules and thus bumps the version
number of said ABI from 1.1 to 1.2 so that drivers can check if the
new function is provided.

The definition of the new function is:
void xf86XVFillKeyHelperDrawable (DrawablePtr pDraw, CARD32 key,
                                        RegionPtr clipboxes);

xf86XVFillKeyHelperDrawable is a per-drawable Xv colour key helper function.
This allows overlay Xv adaptors to work slightly better with compositing
  managers.
