I've cc'ed xwin-discuss, which is a much better place to ask X questions than
the bugs forum. Of course, this is technically off-topic for anywhere on
opensolaris.org, since Solaris 8 (SunOS 5.8) is many years before Solaris was
opened.

Sounds like your application was written for Direct Graphics Access (DGA) and
doesn't support remote display, but it's hard to say without knowing anything
about the application.
