My laptop (an elderly Fujitsu P5020) worked on 2008.11 when I inserted USB
storage (memory sticks and SD card readers) or, more importantly, when I
inserted a Huawei E160 modem (configured to run as usbsacm).

With 2009.06, installed as an upgrade, Xorg hangs solid (I think) when I insert
the same devices. If I move the pointer while inserting the device, it
continues to move for two or three seconds before freezing. If I instead
svcadm disable gdm, insert the device while X is stopped, and then svcadm
enable gdm, it's all good, and the devices are usable from X.

Obviously, my next move is to repeat the testing while ssh'd in from another
machine and confirm the hang is Xorg and not the machine itself, but does this
problem ring any bells?
