What is so regrettable is that this statement makes it apparent that Sun
*appears to have no
strategy* regarding support of ATI cards (ie resourcing same, either by
hard cash and outsourcing
or by allocating engineering resource). I'm assuming *you'd* know what
it was if there were such
a strategy and would use different language.

Can it really be that it is no-one's job to consider that sort of
thing? If it *is* someone's job,
then maybe they could pipe up and let us know what's going on?

I know Sun isn't made of money but it would be reassuring if there were
some indication that
its a recognised problem and that *someone* is responsible (and,
hopefully, empowered to
some extent).

If some cards have too little perceived penetration to make it
worthwhile, and have been
marked as 'ignore', then that is at least a positive action. But that
doesn't sound like what's
happened given your use of language.
