I upgraded to the latest Intel driver Niveditha gave me and Mesa 7.0.4. Still got the same problems;
$ /usr/X11/demo/glxgears 2653 frames in 5.0 seconds = 530.530 FPS 2711 frames in 5.0 seconds = 542.052 FPS 2773 frames in 5.0 seconds = 554.491 FPS 2747 frames in 5.0 seconds = 549.231 FPS 2738 frames in 5.0 seconds = 547.599 FPS 2751 frames in 5.0 seconds = 550.036 FPS 2742 frames in 5.0 seconds = 548.393 FPS See attached Xorg.0.log file.
