While fiddling around with this, I found another way to reproduce this. Open up GNOME's keyboard preferences utility and increase the key repeat speed. Then move the cursor to the test field and hold down a key. After a few repeats, the applet hangs, along with rest of gnome. I can not run another gnome application until the system frees up again(usually happens in <5 seconds) -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
