4. Technical Description
The xprop utility is for displaying window and font properties
in an X server. One window or font is selected using the command
line arguments or possibly in the case of a window, by clicking
on the desired window. A list of properties is then given, possibly
with formatting information.
This project updates our current version of xprop to the open
source xprop version 1.0.3, which introduces a new option to
the existing set of options:
xprop -set
which specifies the name of a property and a property value to be
set on the indicated window.
The manual page description of this new option is:
-set property-name value
Specifies the name of a property and a property
value, to be set on the indicated window.
