Hmm, does somebody know wether there are plans to switch to the XCB based xlib by default? That rewrite had quite a long time to mature on Linux, and the "traditional" Xlib isn't worked on very activly. At least for my Java2D-xrender-backend is would have the advantage of beeing able to generate the protocol directly in Java, grabbing the socket and writing the batch out. WIth xlib I would have to call from Java->C several times for each rendered primitive, which is quite expensive. - Clemens -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
