Hi Edward, this sounds interesting. Yes, one person is not enough to handle the task. We can either publicly cooperate, or melt your and my project into one. We should set-up a new alias for a SPARC-distro (something like the Belenix-list). We need a svn or git repo for our upcoming distro. I am interested under four "pre-conditions": #0) The name should be "Natamar" (the logo is attached), which I hereby ANNOUNCE. #1) It should be a project o p e n to everyone (potential contributors), every line of code must be open and in our then-current repo (except for closed-bins stuff that we cannot influence), similar to the early beginnings of Debian #2) Sorry, one third thing: If we ever get a donation, or maybe can establish some advertisements, then we make everything transparent to in- and outside #3) And last but not least: (secret) Everybody interested in this is heartily invited to join us. One person is nothing. A team is everything. Thank you. Best regards, Martin Bochnig #+#+#+#+#+#+#+#+# Natamar OpenSolaris SPARC / x64
