OK, good. I didn't read the entire thread's context. > > I'm currently in the process of porting it to SPARC for over 10 days > now, that's the reason why I don't have the time to write any messages. > > Understood, and thanks for your effort. :-) > > Plus my attempt to port the radeon DRM (kernel level) driver to > Solaris_x86 DDI/DKI (based on Sun's i915 port) makes also a bit progress: It > already modloads now, even attaches and properly creates the device nodes, see > here (but it is still *broken* pre-alpha stuff, therefore no code drop yet) : > > The Solaris x86 driver team has already ported the Radeon DRM module to > Solaris, and are testing/debugging it now, unfortunately they haven't done > a code drop yet either. I recently discovered their announcement. A pity that they are already done with it, then I wasted a week for poorly inventing a quadratic wheel. But I see it positively, as I finally understood a number of previously mysterious things, after having read two books on docs.sun.com, most notably http://dlc.sun.com/pdf/805-3024/805-3024.pdf !! - Highly recommended. Thanks for the info. Then I can dedicate the full amount of my time (besides school and so on) to SPARC-Indiana. Note: I'm overseas from November 15th to 21st, so there will be a stall for a week. -martin-
