There hasn't been much about this recently, and reading the archives is confusing, at least to me. AFAIK there are such things as drivers for the Sun UPA fbs, but they are not supplied with Open Solaris.
Will they ever be included with the standard Open Solaris distribution for SPARC? For the time being are the drivers (and whatever else it takes) available to be used with Open Solaris? I tried quite a few things that were mentioned in the xwin and other archives, to no avail. This could be operator error (not unknown!) or perhaps the documentation quite as clear as it might be :-) I'd really like to get off SXDE and onto Open Solaris, but I would miss the performance of those old Creator 3D cards and it would be great to squeeze a bit more life out of them. If anyone has any insight into this, it would be great to hear from you! Thanks -- Frank
