This is a new problem as of OSol b125 and I'm not sure how or where to report it.
This is with Fedora C10 xdmcp to a headless Sun4u running b125, which worked fine with b124 and sxce snv124; no changes have been applied to the FC10 system. The main menu button on the task bar has no icon; it just has an "x" image. If you select system->preferences->mouse, X crashes. The odd thing is that the icon is present and the crash doesn't occur if the X terminal is X86 OpenSolaris (b111b). This seems to suggest that there is a new endian problem with Fedora X11 that doesn't exist with OSol b111b. I will try updating a PC to b125 and see if the problem occurs with that, but I doubt it. If I were report this on the Fedora bugzilla, I doubt they would do anything. I encountered this when trying to figure out why the left handed mouse setting seems to be ignored as of b125 (http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=12104). This is highly reproducible with this hardware combination, but might be harder to do so with different hardware/software. What would be the best place to report this and what information would be useful? This and other bugs are making b125 pretty much unusable, so we'll be falling back to sxce snv124, but I don't mind keeping b125 going on a test machine for debugging purposes. Thanks -- Frank
