No. In my experience (on DRI supported Intel gfx) it is exactly the opposite way around (!). And with the previous (now obsolete) radeon DRI driver it was even worse. Therefore, even on supported hardware, I always disable DRI (I extra create xorg.conf for this and adjust it). I use totem with fluendo?s codecs. %martin
