I just found and subscribed to xwin-discuss.

Here's what I did:
Installed livecd first.
Could not connect to internet as no nic support (nvidia chipset)
Next installed from usb stick snv_125.

After installation, OSOL booted into VESA.
I've tried modifying xorg.conf to use nvidia.
But when I do this, X won't come up with the errors listed.

After that I downloaded latest driver from nvidia.
As it seems, this one was already installed ... :-) (stupid me ::-) )

When I try to uninstall the driver, I get an error.
Here's my log:
