Hi, The workaround doesn't work for me and the main reason is that the workaround is for 1920x1200 while I'm trying to get 1920x1080 on my Sony TV/LCD. Please also notice that xrand -q (with no xorg.conf) does list 1920x1080 and I can select it from Screen Resolution application but then the Sony TV says that it is unsupported signal.
It might be that adjusting below commands could help but I have no idea how to adjust the first one (the other two are obvious). Can you help? % xrandr --newmode 1920x1200 153.75 1920 1968 2000 2080 1200 1203 1209 1235 +hsync -vsync % xrandr --addmode VGA 1920x1200 % xrandr --output VGA --mode 1920x1200 Niveditha Rau wrote: > This is tracked as 6807365 > > Thanks > Niveditha > > On 09/29/09 10:25, Robert Milkowski wrote: > >> Hi, >> >> Toshiba R600, Open Solaris snv_123 >> >> milek at r600:~$ uname -a >> SunOS r600 5.11 snv_123 i86pc i386 i86pc Solaris >> milek at r600:~$ xrandr -q >> Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1280 x 800, maximum 1920 x 1920 >> VGA connected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) >> 1920x1080 59.9 + >> 1280x1024 75.0 60.0 1280x960 75.0 >> 1360x768 60.0 1152x864 75.0 1280x720 60.0 >> 1024x768 85.0 75.0 70.1 60.0 800x600 >> 85.1 72.2 75.0 60.3 56.2 640x480 85.0 >> 75.0 72.8 59.9 720x400 70.1 LVDS connected >> 1280x800+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 0mm x >> 0mm >> 1280x800 60.2*+ >> 1024x768 85.0 75.0 70.1 60.0 832x624 >> 74.6 800x600 85.1 72.2 75.0 60.3 56.2 >> 640x480 85.0 72.8 75.0 59.9 720x400 >> 85.0 640x400 85.1 640x350 85.1 TMDS-1 >> disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) >> milek at r600:~$ >> Yet if I want to switch to external LCD to 1920x1080 I get on my Sony >> LCD >> "Unsupported signal.
