Hi,

The workaround doesn't work for me and the main reason is that the
workaround is for 1920x1200 while I'm trying to get 1920x1080 on my Sony
TV/LCD. Please also notice that xrand -q (with no xorg.conf) does list
1920x1080 and I can select it from Screen Resolution application but
then the Sony TV says that it is unsupported signal.

It might be that adjusting below commands could help but I have no idea
how to adjust the first one (the other two are obvious). Can you help?

% xrandr --newmode 1920x1200 153.75 1920 1968 2000 2080 1200 1203 1209
1235 +hsync -vsync
% xrandr --addmode VGA 1920x1200
% xrandr --output VGA --mode 1920x1200
